The total solar eclipse that will occur on April 8 is a rare event and an opportunity for students to learn more about our solar system. On April 8, 2024, during the school day, teachers will be providing students with instruction regarding a solar eclipse and how to stay safe. On April 8, the Rockaway Township Library will be hosting a Solar Eclipse Watch Party from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. They will provide solar eclipse glasses, refreshments, and NASA live streaming of the event. This evening (March 26) at Copeland Middle School, the Rockaway Twp Board of Education will meet regarding Policy 5756 ~ Transgender Students. The public portion of the meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the board’s attorney providing background regarding Policy 5756 and the Law Against Discrimination. Following the attorney’s presentation, the meeting will be open to the public for comments. All are invited and encouraged to attend. KDM- Congratulates Students of the Month, Angelina Yan (1st Grade) and Elizabeth McNinch (4th Grade). Angelina is an excellent role model for her classmates. She is always willing to help out her teacher and other students in her class. Elizabeth works hard on any task she is presented with, helps others when asked to, quietly works independently, and works well in groups.
